Mods can be inserted into either weapons or armor – depending on the type of mod – and certain mods are class-specific, while others are available for any class to take advantage of. It’s best to consider which mods will boost your chosen playstyle, and which mods can enhance skills and abilities you tend to use more.

Mods also come in three tiers – the higher the tier, the more difficult enemies you’ll need to defeat to earn gear that has these mods. Tier 3 mods for instance almost exclusively come from Expeditions.

Weapon Mods are mods that can enhance the offense or defense of your character when using a particular gun in battle. These mods can be used by any class.

Tier 1 Weapon Mods

Tier 1 weapon mods can be found on most rare and sometimes unique weapons found early on in the game.

Tier 2 Armor Mods

Tier 2 armor mods can often be found from unique rarity weapons off of elites and higher level enemies or quest rewards. Unlike Tier 1 and some Tier 3 armor mods, these can be used by all Classes.

Increases your Critical Damage by 50% of your Resistance Piercing.

Whenever your Health drops below 30% all of your skill cooldowns are reduced by 50%.

Swapping weapons increases your Firepower by a scaled amount for 5 seconds.

Critical Shots apply extra damage to enemies afflicted with Ash.

Boosts your damage against enemies afflicted with Ash by 20%.

Killing enemies with critical shots grant scaled Anomaly Power to you and your allies for 10 seconds.

Killing enemies afflicted with Burn increases your Armor for 8 seconds, stacking up to 3 times.

Killing Shots increase your Firepower by a scaled amount, and can stack up to 3 times and deteriorates after 10 seconds.

Boosts your damage against enemies afflicted with Bleed by 15%.

Critical shots towards enemies in Close Range afflicted with Bleed increase your Health Regeneration for 5 seconds.

Boosts your Melee skill damage by 100%.

Increases Shotgun Weapon Damage by 10%.

Reloading a weapon when your Shield is active disables ammo consumption for 5 seconds.

Deal 10% more damage to enemies afflicted by Weakness.

Whenever a skill is used, inflict extra damage to all enemies afflicted with Burn.

Increases your armor by a scaled amount for each ally in Close Range.

Using skills deals damage to enemies within a 5 meter radius around you, equal to 30% of your Anomaly Power.

Killing shots on enemies afflicted with Bleed replenishes 50% of the ammo in your magazine.

Critical shots inflict Bleed on enemies.

Incoming bullets have 30% chance of being deflected towards an enemy dealing a scaled amount of damage.

Tier 3 Armor Mods – All Classes

Tier 3 armor mods can only be found in endgame runs from legendary gear, including Expeditions and boss enemies. The following Armor Mods can be used by all Classes.

Grants a scaled amount of firepower and anomaly power bonus on skill activation for a limited time.

Increases your damage against Elites by 25%.

  • Can be found on Gloves of the Borealis Monarch – Legendary Gloves

Boosts your Resistance by 15% every time you use a skill, and stacks up to 3 times while deteriorates every 7 seconds.

Doubles your Armor whenever your health drops below 35%.

Deal 25% more damage against enemies afflicted by Toxic.

Reviving an ally also fully restores their Health.

Increases the range at which enemies are considered to be at Close Range by 2 meters.

Critical hits on Elites increase your Firepower by a scaled amount for 6 seconds.

Heal yourself for a scaled amount whenever an ally enters Down But Not Out.

Incoming damage is reduced by 5% for each enemy in Close Range, and stacks up to 8 times.

These Devastator Class mods are grouped by the skill they enhance, and are usually only obtained from legendary gear.

Boulderdash – Every enemy damaged by the skill increases your Weapon Damage by 20% for 5 seconds, and can stack up to 5 times.

Boulderdash – Permanently reduces Resistances of all damaged enemies by 50%.

Earthquake – Using the skill permanently reduces the Armor of effected enemies by 20%.

Endless Mass – Anomaly Damage against affected targets is increased by 33% for 5 seconds.

Endless Mass – Increases the skill’s radius by 25%.

Golem – Increases the skill’s duration by 20% and casts a 25% shorter version of Golem on your allies.

Gravity Leap – Enemies within the damage radius of Gravity Leap will receive 1.5x Anomaly Damage for 5 seconds.

Impale – The skill can be activated 2 more times before triggering the cooldown.

Impale – The skill can strike 2 additional targets.

Reflect Bullets – Increases the skill’s duration by 40%.

Tremor – Increases the radius of each explosion.

Tremor – When the skill is active, allies are given a 40% weapon damage bonus for 8 seconds.

Ash Blast – Using the skill increases your Weapon Leech bonus for a limited time.

Heatwave – Using the skill grants 10 seconds of 15% Weapon Damage bonus for each effected enemy.

Overheat – Decrease the skill’s cooldown by 50%.

Overheat – The skill consumes either Fire or Ash to deal damage. Consuming both at once increases the damage by 150%.

Thermal Bomb – The skill can effect two targets.

Thermal Bomb – Enemies affected by the skill receive 40% more damage.

Volcanic Rounds – Decreases the Resistance of enemies damaged by the skill by 34%.

Cryo Turret – Decrease the skill’s Cooldown by 50%.

These Trickster Class mods are grouped by the skill they enhance, and are usually only obtained from legendary gear.

Borrowed Time – Reverting time creates an explosion around you that inflicts Anomaly Damage to all enemies withing 8 meters.

Borrowed Time – Killing enemies while Borrowed Time is active reduces incoming Weapon Damage by 10% and Anomaly Damage by 10% for 10 seconds, and the buff is removed at the end of the skill, and can stack up to 4 times.

  • Can be found on the Upper Chronosuit – Legendary Upper Armor

Twisted Rounds – While the skill is active, killing shots heal you by 15% of your target’s health.

  • Can be found on Chronosuit Gloves – Legendary Gloves

Twisted Rounds – When the skill ends, add 15% of your Max Health as Shield for each enemy killed by the skill.
